Say it Loud!
The Bubble Guppies’ teacher, Mr. Grouper, sings lessons to help the guppies learn and remember new ideas!
Saying things out loud — as a chant or a song — can be a powerful tool to help children learn and remember new ideas, support language development, and boost social connections.
Chanting loudly together creates an emotional connection and helps people to remember the words! Children feel powerful when their voices are amplified by the group, and rhyming is a fun way to explore the sounds of words and letters.
Parent/Caregiver Tip: Rhyming can help make your child become a great reader one day! Playing with rhymes is a fun way to increase your child’s awareness of word and letter sounds — otherwise known as phonological awareness. Research shows that children with greater phonological awareness have an easier time learning to read.
