Getting To Know You
The Bubble Guppies’ Molly has long pink hair, a blue tail, and loves to sing! Deema has yellow curly hair, an orange tail, and loves telling jokes! Goby has blue hair, a blue and purple tail, and loves telling stories.
Just like the Bubble Guppies, everyone we meet is different in some ways and similar in others!
Getting to know new people helps young children understand that there are many different kinds of people in the world — and that each person deserves to be treated with respect and kindness.
Research shows that meeting people from different backgrounds early in life has a direct link with how children view others later in life.
Go ahead and introduce yourself to someone new!
Parent/Caregiver Tip: When you travel or visit a new neighborhood, spend some time at the playground to give your child the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
